HJS was founded in the fall of 1999 by the merger of three junior clubs (HPK, HäPa and Pallo-Kärpät). A little later, the juniors of AC Täysosuma also joined the club. HJS focuses on high-quality and safe soccer and futsal activities for children and young people, which takes into account the different motivations and needs of the enthusiasts.
